Swamped

We are working in Congo Town in a brand new branch. We are the first Elder’s to serve in this area. I did teach a lesson about eternal marriage and the spirit was extremely strong in that meeting.

I baptized someone for the first time yesterday and that was way cool. Yesterday we walked 3 miles to church and 3 back so that was some walking.

We did a service project last week carrying big bags of sawdust about a mile from the mill to a house. This place was like something you would see and read about in books. I didn’t get pictures because I knew there was going to be water and didn’t take my camera. This home needed the sawdust placed in their yard because it is in a swamp. The sawdust gave them something to walk on. This was a cool area where an entire community was on water. You go by boat or walk on boards that act like sidewalks. We wear big black rubber boots often.

Love, Elder Orton
