This week we didn’t have as much time for teaching because we had several meetings we attended. Elder Terrence M. Vinson, Area of the Seventy First Counselor, came and talked to us and that was awesome. He talked about the Sabbath day and how we need to be pushing this more with our investigators. We were reminded we need to teach about the blessings that come with keeping the Sabbath day holy. I learned so much.
I am teaching 5 families right now. The parents in each family want to be baptized but they are not yet married. This is really frustrating because they are so willing but in Africa they are supposed to pay a dowry to get married. None of the families have money to take care of this. They all think that they have to have a good amount before they get married. I will be working with these families for probably three months or so before they are ready for baptism. We will spend most of our time focusing on them.
